Test Method

Testing follows EAD 090062-01-0404 and BRE Digest 346 standards. The test rig was approved by the BBA as suitable for assessment.

Test Sample

Testing was conducted at Vinci Technology Centre using the following configuration:

• Test area approximately 5m high by 5m wide
• Brick slip layout: Horizontal
• Brick slip thickness: 28mm
• External corners: Standard corner brick slips
• Soffit detail included
• Brick slips on soffit: 215x65x28mm
• Four mortar types: Parex, Limepoint Plus, PRB, VPI
• Single and double brackets (360mm deep)
• Bracket centres: 600mm and 900mm
• Rail centres: 600mm

Test Result

In 2024, Ash & Lacy passed the prescribed BRE Digest 346 test for MechSlip and NaturAL-X systems. This qualifies the systems, along with the AxiAL support system, for a 60-year life expectancy. The updated BBA certificates are pending reissue.
